Development Team Denny P. Onslow For 40 years, Mr. Onslow has worked closely with communities to construct and manage property developments in the greater Seattle area. He joined Harbor in 1984 as director of development activities. Mr. Onslow reacts to the needs of the market yet is proactive in creating change to accommodate the specific requirements of each community. At Harbor he has focused on developing projects that range from high-rise apartments such as Harbor Steps to moderately priced, mid-rise multi-family complexes that respond to the City’s need for new urban “workforce” residences. Mr. Onslow leads the company’s development of multifamily projects in Seattle’s urban neighborhoods, including: Belltown, Capitol Hill, First Hill, South Lake Union, downtown, West Seattle, the Central area and the University District. His expertise in the real estate development arena spans a number of product types, including residential, retail, mixed-use, commercial office and hotels, as well as an array of housing for various incomes. Mr. Onslow is also skilled in redeveloping urban properties that have been designated historical landmarks. Multiple committees and boards have benefited from Mr. Onslow’s field expertise. He serves on the board of the Downtown Seattle Association and chairs committees for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Waterfront Task Force. Before joining Harbor Properties, Mr. Onslow worked for a local development firm where he managed the building of three high-rise hotels in downtown Seattle. Mr. Onslow is a graduate of the University of Washington.
Steve Orser Steve Orser focuses on new property acquisition, as well as entitlement, design and development of the company's new residential and mixed-use projects downtown and in close-in urban neighborhoods. Since Steve joined Harbor in 2005, he has been responsible for the acquisition and development of projects that will add more than 1,200 residential units, 100,000 square feet of retail/commercial to the company's portfolio. The acquired properties throughout the city represent more than 325,000 square feet of land valuated at approximately $37million with total project costs of approximately $300 million. Steve has written articles featured in the area's business publications including the Puget Sound Business Journal, and was recently named one of that publication's prestigious "40 Under 40" award recipients. In addition to his professional experience, Steve is actively involved in Seattle neighborhoods. He's a board member of the Seattle Parks Foundation, Madrona Neighborhood Association, and chair of the Madrona Playfield committee that raised $750,000 in renovating the neighborhood park. E. Barkman Ms. Barkman has been a project manager with Harbor Properties for 19 years in the development division. She focuses primarily on residential and mix-use projects surrounding the downtown core, and is involved in a range of activities: land acquisition, entitlement, design, construction, lease-up and interface with property management. The projects she has worked on encompass both wholly owned and joint ventures. Completed projects are Harbor Steps, Press I &II, Alcyone and Helix. Ongoing projects are Ellipse, Landes and the Mural project in West Seattle Ms. Barkman holds an MS in Construction Management from the University of Washington and holds two degrees in Finance and Management from Seattle Pacific University. Steve Yoon Mr. Yoon became a team member in November 2005. As an associate project manager, he performs financial analysis of new development opportunities and project management for ongoing projects. Prior to joining Harbor Properties, Mr. Yoon was with the Wells Fargo Real Estate Group in Los Angeles, providing acquisition and construction financing for developers. Also, he has four years of construction management experience at the Intel Corporation. Mr. Yoon has an MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, as well as an MS in Construction Management and a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Emiko M. Baldowin Ms. Baldowin joined Harbor in 1999. She has 14 years of combined real estate and marketing experience in Seattle and Honolulu. In her 8 years at Harbor she has assisted with the coordination of many projects including Harbor Steps, Site 17 North, McGuire, Press, Alcyone, and most recently Helix and Ellipse. She is responsible for an array of marketing tasks, such as market demographics and research for all new projects. In addition, Ms. Baldowin focuses on community relations and outreach in all of Harbor’s target neighborhoods
